GLASS-STEAGALL ACT REDUX INTRODUCED INTO THE SENATE

BREAKING NEWS —

For those of you that are interested in the reintroduction of the Glass-Steagall Act (which banned the banks from getting into the securities business) by Democratic Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, here’s a copy of the latest poop:

Text – S.881 – 115th Congress (2017-2018): 21st Century Glass-Steagall Act of 2017 | Congress.gov |

Enjoy the read!  We’ll see how far it gets, given the tone of Congress these days. Sometimes you just have to wonder how long the American people are going to stand for the generalities of this 3-ring circus.

Most Americans want this yet do not know to the full extent of the why, and then they go about trying to effect change with out reading the rules of the game and then they wonder why things never change…

  2. Macro-managing banking and investment is a slippery slope. Glass-Steagall first got into trouble when interest rates exceeded the portfolio yields of the S&L holding mortgages. The couldn’t attract depositors/investors to be able to lend on more home mortgages and a bunch of them started failing. It was inflation caused by the Vietnam War era spending, that was really the cause behind the problems, just like we are experiencing today, being in stagflation. Of course, this would all be eliminated by having sound money and by getting rid of the central bank. Free enterprise really does work, perhaps not perfect but better than this mess. The ruling oligarchy, however, doesn’t want this and people are not willing to fight back because of both lack of knowledge and the constant lamestream media (LSM) misinformation. What is it like 5 or 6 corps own/control the LSM? Trump’s not going to make America great again because he works, like the Clintons, for the Banksters.
